Proporta Maya II iPad Pouch Case Review

The Proporta Maya range have long been my favourite slip cases, primarily due to their understated, stylish design and high quality. It’s no secret that my favourite amongst these is the Maya II red-on-white which, before I switched to an N900, I used often to keep my iPhone cozy.

The same Maya II slip-case colour schemes available for the iPhone, however, are now available for the iPad, a brilliant opportunity for some device co-ordination.

When is a WiFi-only iPad not a WiFi-only iPad?:

A couple of things have changed with the Maya II slip case to make it suitable for the iPad. The first and most obvious is its physical size, the more important, however, is the sheer amount of padding within the case.

The Maya II for iPad has been generously padded and lined with a very soft interior which is sure to be kind both you your iPad’s expansive screen and aluminium back.

A slip case is the way to go if you really want to show off your iPad and don’t mind losing out on the stand functionality that many flip cases are offering in imitation of Apple’s official case. It keeps your iPad well protected and also gives you something to sit it on, in lieu of placing it directly upon a table. With this in mind I highly recommend the Maya II for your iPad which will set you back a not-too-bad £20 or $30, about £5 or $10 more than the iPhone versions.

Alas, despite having the Maya II case in my hands right now, I unfortunately do not have an iPad to try it out with. That’ll have to wait until the 28th. But from what I can tell, the Maya II is set to be an excellent and affordable slip case which scores bonus points for having a matching iPhone case.
