Proporta Leather Memory Wallet Review

Is your life overtaken with SD-card scoffing gadgets? Do you need a place to keep those spare SD cards safe, cozy and warm? Well the Proporta Leather Memory Wallet could be the ultimate wallet replacement for you. Could be. Unfortunately it doesn’t work so well as a wallet. See you over the fold to find out why!

The problem with the Proporta memory wallet is that it doesn’t make a great wallet. Why?There’s no pocket for loose change, which gets generated at an alarming rate these days, and it doesn’t zip up or fasten shut making it somewhat lax on the security front.

On the memory capacity side of things, it’s only got room to securely hold two SD cards and no other variety of media. For £4.95 you can tidily fit up to three SD cards in your existing wallet, a far better prospect if you’re particularly picky about the slip of leather that holds your cash, your identity and your data.

On the plus site, Proporta have made a very attractive product here. A transparent window is present for quick flashing of bus passes and other such nonsense, and the lack of clasping mechanism leaves the exterior of the wallet clean and minimal. The green and black colour scheme is quite striking, and definitely a favourite of mine. It’s becoming more and more prevalent in Proporta products which makes it easier (at least if you like black and green) to have a set of cases/wallets that match.

If you can accept its shortcomings, love black leather and neon green, and need somewhere to tuck your SD cards then the Proporta Leather Memory Wallet can be had for £24.95 complete with a free feeling of geeky self satisfaction.
