A new range of Creative Labs webcams
What better valentines gift for the long-distance lover than a shiny new web cam (Did somebody say “train ticket”? Shh!).
Creative Labs have announced a range of such shiny web cams. Amongst them are the Creative Live! Cam Notebook Pro and the Creative Live! Cam Video IM.
The former of these two cameras is somewhat perplexing in a market where a notebook without a built-in webcam is rare. But even on notebooks with webcams the Creative Live! Cam Notebook Pro has its place, offering a higher degree of flexibility/positioning options and a bundled headset and software suite to sweeten the deal.
The somewhat less shiny Creative Live! Cam Video IM is targeted at desktop computers and comes bundled with “Advanced Video FX” software which Mac users will be familiar with in the form of Apples realtime video effects. The ability to both add visual effects and backdrops is included.
Both cameras support a max video resolution of 800×600 with the Video IM supporting 1.3mp photos.
Also included in the new lineup is the Creative Live! Cam Video IM Pro, the Live! Cam Optia Pro and the The Creative Live! Cam Notebook Ultra, the latter two boast a photo resolution of 5 megapixels and wide angle lenses. Now we’re talking!
