Motorola’s Next… RAZR?

Out of a blue comes a YouTube advertisement from Motorola. The imagery seems to suggest a new RAZR, with… well… a razor being shown alongside things getting sliced in half.

But this will be a smarter, faster phone which suggests an Android-powered handset with the famed RAZR moniker. I’m a fan of Motorola’s recent Android offerings and liked both the DEXT and the DEFY for their understated yet competitive performance. The latter is certainly a testament to Motorola’s ability to build decent phones.

With the Motorola RAZR V3i being almost 6 years old, the Maxx going on 5 and the RAZR2 V9x going on 3, it’s certainly due time for a brand revival. Perhaps this will be the RAZR3? Or the presence of a razor in the video could be a red herring.

Who knows! More information will be revealed soon.
