HEYYU Video Menu Box

It’s stunning to think that such an obvious product isn’t already placed in every restaurant, bar or cafe in existence, replacing often hideously out of date printed menus stuffed in tatty, weathered boxes. But O’WONDER only today announced their HEYYU Video Menu Box to the UK independent restaurant and cafe trade.

HEYYU promises to place restaurants on the cutting edge of technology, allowing them to keep their menus not only up-to-date, but colourful, eye catching, interesting and media rich.

The high resolution, high contrast display in their launch product “HEYYU [BABY]” already draws the attention of passers by both day and night at the Jee Saheb Indian & Bangladeshi restaurant in Oxford. With the content remaining in a digital format the menu can be updated constantly with no worries about incurring printing costs- of course, this doesn’t apply to the menus you’re given when you sit down at a table, but perhaps O’WONDER have a solution to that up their sleeve too.

The HEYYU [BABY] Video Menu Box is now available in limited quantities for £534.75 and includes initial, professional content design, a 2 year limited warranty, installation advice and fair usage telephone and online support.

At the moment, there really isn’t a better way to say “Hey, You!” to passing, potential customers. And with the promise of future upgrades and enhancements lightly touched upon in their press release, we can surely expect interesting things to come; such as over-the-air updates, larger displays and perhaps even interactivity.
