Dualit Espressivo Coffee Machine

I’m a fan of coffee, it’s hip, it’s trendy, it’s in and it’s also a pretty damned fine way of keeping myself awake through a day of programming. Nobody says “let’s go out for a cup of tea” these days, it’s all about coffee and high street coffee is well known for being quite steeply priced. Instant coffee works, but even the best of the best doesn’t have a thing on 6 shots of fresh expresso mixed with a drop of milk!

So where is the best place to get such dangerously concentrated coffee fixes? Why, your own home of course!

Dualit have released the aptly named Expressivo, and it has me salivating not only over its compactness and signature chrome good looks but the prospect of a readily available supply of coffee in all varieties without having to curse my kitchen with the rotten looks of a big-black monster coffee machine or one of those awful little tacky products that takes obscenely overpriced sachets of what I can only assume is coffee flavoured mud and turns them into warm, wet coffee flavoured mud.

The Expressivo can be had for a paltry £150, or 50 decent high street coffees if you prefer to work in completely arbitrary comparative measurements. It boasts on-demand hot water and steam for near instant real coffee from expresso to cappuccino and beyond and its signature Dualit style, also available in the pictured, slightly toned down variety, makes it a great visual addition to any kitchen.
