Sandberg Wireless Touchpad Keyboard

With PCs getting smaller, rapidly growing into more media centric devices and finding their way into living rooms (not to mention the PS3) decent, wireless, all-in-one, sofa friendly keyboard/mouse combinations are becoming more important.

The Sandberg Wireless Touchpad Keyboard is a new entry into this range of devices from Sandberg and, as the name suggests, includes a laptop-like touchpad.

Set to be available for £50 it’ll run on a couple of AA batteries and requires a USB receiver/dongle to function. Bluetooth would have been nice for PS3 compatibility but if you can afford to give over a USB port then this could be a reasonable match for PS3 web browsing.

Gadgetoid should have a review up soon, but looking at the pictures alone we can guess that users may be somewhat put off by the small and disjointed trackpad buttons which are placed on the left hand side. Lefties who don’t mouse with their right hand may also be alienated (I mouse with my right and trackpad with my left). Surely a trackpad could fit in the center?
