Soon I’ll be Wii-er-ly Fit

Well, it’s a dull rainy day today and we’ve all come down with a not-so-lovely vomiting virus or at least our fairer halves have; for now.

After a Friday evening playing Rock Band until the early hours of the morning followed by a day of downtime, a little Wii Fit and a smattering of World of Warcraft I’ve found the time to spend an entire morning mastering the more mini-game aspects of Wii Fit. Mostly by cheating horribly.

Being as adversed to any concept of fitness as one could possibly be I find most of the Wii Fit activities somewhat unappealing; the concept of pulling off Yoga poses seems something best left to the ladies and the muscle toning activities I’m quite sure only work on people who actually have muscles to speak of. Of course, I’ve got to give everything a go; although it’s much more preferable to let someone else have a go, sit back, relax and laugh yourself fit.

The Ski Jump event I managed to ace by crouching down and balancing forward on my hands, this way I could keep my balance perfectly throughout the entire event barring a little wobble right after triggering the jump.

Skiing… well… the first event I actually did properly but Champion was attained on the second one by simply sitting down on the Wii Board; I was exhausted by then!

After having the sitting down trick work so well for me on the Skiing event I decided to give it a shot on the Tight Rope which I had failed miserably with before. It works a treat, although I had to slap my hands and behind down onto the Board in order to walk forward.

Cheating will never get me fit, but it sure as hell does monopolize those high scores and gives friends something to aspire to!
