Roland Fantom G8, G7 and G6 pricing
It’s official, and it’s drool-inducing. The Fantom G series synthesizers will drop in April to take the torch from the X series and become Roland’s new flagship synth. The G series will come in 3 familiar flavors; the G6, G7 and G8 but there is unfortunately no sign of a rack alternative.
The G series are packed with updates and improvements over the current X series, including a larger LCD display with optional mouse interaction, tactile volume sliders, 24 audio tracks, a re-developed sound architecture dubbed “SuperNATURAL”, 22 simultaneous effects routings, the luxurious PHA II “Ivory Feel” keyboard (Available only in the G8) and much more. Only time will tell if these prices are accurate, however they are logical and reasonably in-line with the competition and the existing X models- even if they are surprisingly on the low side. More information as soon as I can get my hands on one.
