Two Worlds Release Date Confirmed! - Friday 24th August 2007
The release date for the stunning looking Two Worlds RPG (think 3d Diablo) has been officially confirmed as the 7th September. Watch this space for a review of the game.
Two Worlds will be available in normal and Collector’s Edition packs, both available for pre-order now. The PC Collector’s Edition, which includes a wealth of additional materials and free un-lockable content, will be exclusively available at GAME. The Xbox 360 Collector’s Edition, which includes the same additional material and a free 48-hour Gold membership to the Xbox LIVE® online game service, will be available at all good retailers.
I, for one, am keeping my fingers crossed that Two Worlds doesn't dissapoint; it's almost the title I've been waiting for.
Holy Tabula Rasa Jesus!
NCsoft have announced that the pre-order bonus pack for Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa™ is available at online retailers from Friday 10th august. This pre-order pack offers customers several perks, including exclusive in-game items and a three-day head start when the product launches this fall. Not only this but you'll get exclusive character emotes, in-game pets, access to the beta test and a DVD with the game client, bonus wallpapers and art. Not too shabby I think.
Customers will find the pre-order bonus pack and digital pre-sale availability at various retailers in Europe and North America, as well as the NCsoft store at PlayNC.com.
Is now the right time to admit I have absolutely no idea what Tabula Rasa actually is? It's crept up on me. I guess I have some reading to do.
It's worth noting that Richard Garriott is the man behind the Ultima series, including Ultima Online, one of the first commercially successful MMORPGs in North America. Tabula Rasa is set in an epic sci-fi story where players will be challenged by dynamic, fast-paced adventures on unique alien worlds.
Tabula Rasa will be available on the shelf, or download it from the PlayNC store.
Guild Wars - Eye of the North Gameplay Video
I think this needs no introduction. However here's what the press boffs have to say:
"Guild Wars fans should recognize a familiar character from the original campaign in this two-minute video, which also highlights some incredible new locations, a few heroic allies, and a first glimpse of the ruthless, destructive enemies players will encounter in the expansion. Also, don’t miss a majestic view of the Eye of the North, itself."
New City of Heroes Expansion Issue 10: 'Invasion' - 25 July 2007
Continuing in City of Hero's tradition of global events Issue 10: Invasion introduces a Rikti invasion following on from a similar event that took place in the beta stage of the game.
The Rikti Crash Site zone has been renamed the "Rikti War Zone" and takes center stage as the epicenter of another Rikti assault on Earth. The Ritki War Zone, for players level 35 to 50, allows both hero and villain players to work together on missions.
The Rikti hold fort at their crashed mothership and boast a variety of new, powerful weapons including Rikti Pylons, heavily armed defensive points around the ship which need to be defeated to gain access, and Unexploded Bombs.
Players are, however, able to arm themselves with new weapons to combat these threats, with a Vanguard Workbench within the Vanguard base established at the Rikti War Zone whih allows them to create special costume pieces and Vanguage Support Machines to serve as deadly pets in encounters with the Rikti.
To get started with City of Heros you can purchase the "Good Versus Evil Edition" (£11.99 Delivered at Play.com). Subscription fees are a reasonable £8.99/month.

With a jaw-dropping 2 Terabyte hard drive, 7.1 channel sound and a direct connection capability to Apple's iTunes the Denon DVD-HD8910 should have been a product to bring a tear to the eye of videophiles.
Alas it's a very convincing fake, but don't dispair. Denon already make some very cool lifestyle products, such as the AVR-4308DAB HD Wi-fi AV receiver due in October, and are busy integrating wi-fi, hard drives, networking, music streaming, iPod and iTunes into their Home Cinema and Hi-fi systems.

Maple Story hits Europe - 17 July 2007
The curious South Korean, 2d, side-scrolling RPG adventure known as Maple Story is being officially launched across europe.
This probably doesn't make a difference to the legions of european players already taking part in this unique and popular RPG experience but Maple Story will still be free to play and us europeans will be able to enjoy new content designed to tie in with major european cultural events.
However, MapleStory, like many other free-to-play Korean RPGs makes use of a store system or "cash shop" where you can purchase items and upgrades to your characters with your hard-earned real-world cash by first buying "NEXON cash" and then using it in-game.

projectiondesign m80 the Ultimate Home Cinema Projector - 16 July 2007
Set to be the worlds finest Home Cinema projector with an emphasis on quality that projectiondesign don't compromise by trying to lower the retail price for ordinary people like me, the M80 will be able to deliver an unmatched level of quality.
If you have over £50,000 in your back pocket and a hankering for a home cinema to make your friends drool you a new swimming pool look no further.
The m80 is born from the same designer and R&D lab as the Koenigsegg car and Hydrolift racing powerboats (Although what expertise this gives them in projection I don't know!) this painfully expensive projector is bound to find its way into high-end home cinema installations of discerning customers who are willing to pay for the best.
