RollerCoaster Tycoon World Teaser Trailer
Hardly exclusive or news to many of you, but I thought I’d include a little nod to RollerCoaster Tycoon World simply because of Atari’s lofty and bold promise of providing a game with absolutely no micro-transactions or pay-to-win nonsense.
RollerCoaster Tycoon World promises to be the PC-exclusive, pay-once extravaganza that fans have been waiting for. As a fan, and someone with RCT1 and 2 firmly filed under “nostalgia” I tend to agree, but I’m quite particularly fond of the old-style isometric graphics and not so much of the 3D. Still, a PC-exclusive will mean that awkward console control schemes and half-measures won’t dilute a pure PC “simulation” experience- this really could be a fantastic title.
Details of the game and the promised new, previously impossible, features are scant, with little more than a tease of destructible coasters to whet fans’ appetites. After the disappointing, micro-payment fest that was RollerCoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile, Atari have a lot to answer for. Keep an eye on RollerCoasterTycoon.com for the latest news.
