i-Luv Smart Case Back Cover Review

When I saw the Apple Smart Cover, the first thing I said was, naturally, “Ooo, I want one of those.” This was closely followed by “And a back cover for it, too.” Fortunately, I was not alone in this sentiment, and savvy case manufacturers have picked up on the desire for iPad 2 rear protection.

The i-Luv Smart Back Cover is one such example. It takes the full spectrum of iPad Smart Cover colours, and delivers a colour-keyed, complementary back cover to suit each.

It clips easily onto the iPad 2, leaving a gap for your smart cover to join it, and cut-outs are provided for all the particulars, including an extra-large speaker cut out to get the full volume potential out of your tablet.

If you own a Smart Cover, then this case is simply a must-have. It adds enough bulk to be protective, and isn’t quite as thin as you might expect from Incipio’s offerings. This is a good thing, as I’m certainly not alone in thinking that the iPad 2 is just a little bit too thin.

Overall, there’s little more I can say. The only downside is that, like the Smart Cover, it likes to attract grime. Obviously both cases are designed to keep said grime off your iPad, but it would be nice if they somehow repelled it. I’ve already managed to somehow irreversibly stain mine with something.

Without further ado, I give you a handful of images hastily photographed on a dusty coffee table. Not my proudest moment, I might add. But it’s uncomfortably hot today.
