Arcam Website Relaunch

Arcam have relaunched their online presence with a beautiful new website that reflects the design aesthetic of their products and is leagues better than their original slightly dated and far less attractive site.

Recognizing that their customers pre-purchase research is conducted almost exclusively on the internet, Arcam have gone to great lengths to provide extensive, easy to access information on all of their products including technical specifications and downloadable PDF manuals.

The only thing I have to say against it, is that it’s a little lax on the product photography side of things. With no option, it seems, to blow up images to the lofty and highly detailed proportions which I’m used to drooling over.

However, Arcam have made up for this in droves with technical information such as an overview of the HDMI specification and in-depth looks at the design and build of some products.

Even better, for existing customers there’s a whole section on discontinued products complete with PDF manual downloads to combat than inevitable manual loss.

Overall, it’s a marked improvement, although it’s either the beta version I’m too lazy to update or Arcam’s web developers haven’t yet heard of Internet Explorer 8.
