Acer K10 LED Pico Projector

Now that I’ve finally caved into the Netbook fad and picked myself up a Samsung NC10, the allure of an equally portable compact projector has captivated me. I mean… come on… 3 USB ports on the Netbook, plus Snex9x, Seiken Densetsu 3, and some Xbox 360 controllers would equal a portable 3-player nostalgia fest!

Oh, and you can do boring businessey stuff with them, too!

Dispelling the usual fear about the maintenance costs of projectors, the LED technology used inside the Acer K10 Pico Projector is both durable and good for about 20,000 hours, or at least 2 years solid use by which time it will be painfully obsolete.

The whole kit-n-kaboodle weighs in at about half a kilogram and is a dinky 127x122z48.5 mm in size. It’s no pocket-sized projector, for sure, but will throw a 60 inch diagonal at 100 ANSI lumens and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. This little baby will also throw a very gaming friendly 1440×900 resolution widescreen picture, alas you’ll need to hook it to your Xbox360 with VGA.

The Acer K10 Pico Projector is currently up on Expansys for a decidedly pocket-unfriendly £469.99, but come on… it’s so tiny!
