Explosive Growth

The ratings are in from a completed month of August over July and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

I am proud to announce that our total traffic is up 30% over last month, with pageviews rising 50% and pages-per-visit rising just over 16%.

I would like to thank John and Ken (our newest writer) for their effort in bringing coverage of Xbox 360 and Wii titles to Gadgetoid and hope that we can continue this push into September and beyond so that a more significant portion of our traffic is fueled by computer gaming.

You may also have noticed some changes to Gadgetoid.com over the past week or so; I’ve been unhappy with the style and structure for a while and have only just found the time to sort it out. I’ve reverted the font to the classic Gadgetoid serif style, added new “Channels” pages to get you to your area of interest much more quickly, and brought related articles links to the top right hand side so we can improve those pages-per-visit figures by better helping our users get to topics of interest.

Another addition, of course, is this blog page to keep our musings out of the way of the news and reviews content!
